Activity guides
Gear checklists for BC day trips and overnights. Open an activity to see what to rent and where to pick it up.
01 / Indian Arm / Burrard Inlet / Jericho
Flat-water SUP is one of the easiest ways to get on the water in BC. Indian Arm is best before the afternoon wind picks up.
Leave from Deep Cove early. Most lenders are steps from the launch and can walk you through setup.
02 / Garibaldi / Joffre / Sunshine Coast Trail
Rent a complete kit before buying a full backcountry setup. Tents, sleeping systems, stoves, packs, and extras can all travel together.
Permits sell out early. Ask Squamish lenders about pickup on the way through Highway 99.
03 / Whistler / Cypress / Mt. Seymour
Local rentals can be cheaper and more dialed than whatever is left on the shop rack.
Send your boot sole length in millimetres when messaging a Whistler lender.
04 / Indian Arm / Buntzen / Howe Sound
Sit-in kayaks are stable, scenic, and easy to start with on calm local water.
Some Deep Cove lenders deliver to the launch for a small fee if you do not have roof racks.
05 / Cypress / Seymour / Hollyburn
If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Bowen Lookout and Hollyburn are accessible first trips.
North Van pickups are often only 15 minutes from Cypress or Seymour.
06 / Squamish Smoke Bluffs / Murrin Park
Squamish is one of the best climbing areas in North America. Rent hardware, then bring your own rope, shoes, and beta.
Most rental racks do not include ropes or shoes. Check the listing and ask the lender.
